Holy shit, I fucking LOVED this. First off - I am pretty picky about long fic and for me to get through 50k without getting bored or distracted (I am also really ADD) even ONCE speaks extremely highly of your ability to write compellingly, because I was spellbound (heh) from the first few words. The whole thing just flowed so smoothly - even though the action took place over, what, two weeks? it never felt bogged down or stretched out. Your characterizations are so great (loved Adam's history with people using his normal background against him, loved Kris coming to not just accept but appreciate Adam's feminine wiles), and your dialogue is funny and believable and smart, and the relationship between Kris and Adam is so believable and sweet and hot - I also rarely find sex scenes in fic hot but these were all so believable and passionate and detailed without getting too clinical. I think the scene in the dressing room was the best BJ I've read in fandom. The whole world of New Orleans & Simon's (heh - love the name) was so vivid, and the supporting cast were really well-drawn. And the spookiness was my favorite kind of spookiness, and legitimately spooky (next time I'm going to bed I'll probably regret having read this, but it was so worth it).

Man, this was just awesome. One of the best fics I've read, no question.
