Amazing is the right word for this, indeed - I'm definitely with Kris, there. Deliciously hot and sexy and yet also rather incredibly cute/romantic in the sense that of course Adam would refuse to 'suffer' without inflicting some 'suffering' on Kris as well. (I will make no speculation as to who got the better deal, if either of them did.) Adored the way these two played off one another here.
